ARMOUR SCHOOL DISTRICT 21-1 SCHOOL FREE MEALS ENDING AND DISTRICT PRICING 2022-23 The USDA has determined breakfast and lunch WILL NOT be free to all students for the 2022-23 school year. Congress did not extend the flexibility for schools to serve universal free meals in the school year 2022-23. Armour School District 21-1 and schools across the United States will have to return to the meal pricing structure used prior to the No Charge (free) meals for everyone during COVID-19. For SY 2022-23, families that may qualify for free or reduced-price meals will need to submit a free and reduced-price meal application. It is important that our families prepare for this change prior to school starting and below is a link to the application, which will be available on our school district website. Paper copies can be picked up in the school district business office prior to school starting. They will also be mailed out in the next week or so. Please fill out the pink 2022-2023 Application for Free and Reduced Meals in this packet. Turn in your application, by August 19th, 2022 to be entered in a drawing for a gift card valued at $50.00. To help with the costs of maintenance, repairs, and upgrades we will be charging a $50 yearly gym membership for families. Memberships will run July 1st - June 30th. Cards and fobs will work through July 31st of this year, but we ask that you please pay your $50 fee before July 31st to continue with access using your current cards/fobs. If you have already paid you will not need to pay again until next July. Thank you! You can pay Chareen in the business office or send a check to the school. TDA ATHLETES! June and July are a perfect time to get your yearly physicals. The Armour Hospital offers a discount during these months. The link below will take you to the SDHSAA Pre-Participation form that can be filled out by your physician and returned at the beginning of the school year to your coach of athletic director. *ALL 7-12 Athletes, along with 6th grade football players, are required to get a physical before they can practice and compete. Summer School or Credit Recovery REMINDER Both programs begin Tuesday, May 17th from 8:30-11:30 * students partaking in the Summer School program are asked to keep their crayon box of supplies with them please. * Parents will be notified by Mrs. Bigge if any student is being asked to partake in the Credit Recovery Program. The Tripp-Delmont Armour Girls Nighthawks is happy to announce the 2021-2022 GPC and LMVC All-Conference Players. In the LMVC, Megan Reiner received 2nd Team All-Conference Honors! In the GPC, Hannah Stremick and Megan Reiner both received All-Conference Honors and Emma Faller received a Honorable Mention award! We are very proud of these ladies!
